Of course they wanted to get dressed up for the occasion! What little girl would not?

Next we attended Halle's Christmas musical at her little school. She did a great job with several songs and sign language. It was so nice to have songs sung about the true meaning of Christmas (JESUS) at her program. You would not have had that at the public school-I love having her at a Christian school!
Here is Caleb posing as Rudolph the red nosed reindeer! We had several comments about his cuteness because he wouldn't take it off for an entire evening including dinner out. He can be such a little ham!

Then....a trip to the Colorado Symphony Ochestra in which a friend of ours was singing with the choir-her daughter is Halle's best friend from school Abigail and little brother Christian. We saw the jazzy version of Handel's Messiah! It was awesome and was Brent and Halle's very first exposure to the symphony. They loved it, and now I am being persuaded to join the choir for next year-I will definitely think about this one....
We also had my sister come with her kids from Illinois this year-which is a special treat since we were all apart from one another last Christmas. My new sister Ruth was here this year as they moved back from Myanmar this fall to live. It is her first American Christmas and I think she liked it! We took her shopping to the mall one evening and had to stop at Anthropology to do some birthday shopping for Heidi. We also had to try some flower clips in our hair and snap a photo or two. I tell you, Heidi could spend the evening in that store! Girl, you wore me out!
Next the Sunday prior to Christmas we had the honor and priviledge to perform for the church a skit with singing. It was a wonderful story with the message of doing unto others as you would do unto Jesus. See fun pictures below....My mom has the best props. She did so much to make it very special and really come alive.
That same evening we had a traditional Christmas ice skate outing with Halle and brought along some of our wonderful friends from Church and of course her cousins. It was great fun but I was only able to snap a couple of photos from the event. It was alot of work getting off and on skates, and helping all the little ones keep from breaking any bones. They all did a great job, and most everyone had lots of fun.

Maybe I can share the remaining Christmas festivities at a later time-we did have a wonderful week of fun for Christmas, but alas, I am off to do a little more work this start of the week-it is still jumpin' at Genesis Group on my end of things and then to make dinner. Hope that you all have been enjoying this holiday season and are able to slow down and focus in on the King of Kings and Lord of Lords that came to earth as a baby to give us forgiveness and eternal hope!
